Tour Silliness!

We had a great time on tour! Portland was lovely (oooh! shopping!). We stayed at The Nines hotel downtown. It was wonderful!!! And the Farmers' Market restaurant was To Die For.
Vancouver was great, too, and it was during our event (in a church - I worried about lightning strikes) that a very knowledgeable kid told Kristin and me about the buffet ferry from Vancouver to Victoria. As we were heading to Victoria the next day, we held a mini-Cast rebellion, went AWOL from the 6:00 am plane flight, and took the super cool ferry whilst we grazed through the buffet and gazed at the beautiful scenery. Below is video proof. Nope, I don't know why the dang thing turns sideways...
So now we're home for a little while. Off to the Books & Books on Grand Cayman Island May 15th.

Super Jet Lagged Interviews...

Today Kristin and I had a blast! Our cool German publisher, Fischer, sent a fab editor, Julia Schade and the mega awesome photographer, Jorg Steinmetz all the way to Tulsa to take author photos of us! The weather was perfect - sunny and in the 60's. Jorg is an incredible photographer. I think he managed to transform us into art! One of my friends was hanging around and she snapped a few pictures of Jorg taking our pictures, and Kristin and me between shots. Check us out! heehees!

Can't wait to see the real pictures Jorg took! We heart Germany!

Update Time!

I'm hard at work on the copy edit of BURNED (it's just another step before the manuscript is actually printed), and I took a break to go outside about sundown. The sky was amazing! Then I saw the moon! Wow! I had to take pics and share with y'all. (Clearly, I'm not in Tulsa right now. T-Town has cool stuff, but WE DON'T HAVE AN OCEAN.)

Oh, and I don't know when my publisher will post chapter one. Hopefully soon! When they give me the green light, I'll post it here, too.

Back to work so you guys can read BURNED on the 27th!

HERE IT IS! AND HERE'S THE COVER COPY:

Things have turned black at the House of Night. Zoey Redbird's soul has

pull herself back together in time to rejoin her friends and set the
world to rights. As the only living person who can reach her, Stark must

Vampire High Council stipulates. And then Zoey will give up for sure.

Enter BFF Stevie Rae. She wants to help Z but she has massive problems
of her own. The rogue Red Fledglings are acting up, and this time not
even Stevie Rae can protect them from the consequences. Her kinda
boyfriend, Dallas, is sweet but too nosy for his own good. The truth
is, Stevie Rae's hiding a secret that might be the key to getting Zoey
home but also threatens to explode her whole world.

In the middle of the whole mess is Aphrodite: ex-Fledgling, trust-fund
baby, total hag from Hell (and proud of it). She's always been blessed
(if you could call it that) with visions that can reveal the future, but
now it seems Nyx has decided to speak through her with the goddess's own
voice, whether she wants it or not. Aphrodite's loyalty can swing a lot
of different ways, but right now Zoey's fate hangs in the balance.

Three girls... playing with fire... if they don't watch out, everyone
will get Burned.

BURNED is done! It's super good and I can't wait for y'all to read it. Yes, the release is April 27th! I don't know when my publisher will start posting stuff, and I also don't know any tour (or movie) updates, but I'll post as soon as I know something.

Okay, off to rewrite...

Happy Full Moon New Year!

Tonight the full moon ushers in the new year! What a wonderful omen! A full moon is an excellent time for completion. I love to finish projects on the night of a full moon, whether they're small, like cleaning a closet (ugh), or major like typing "the end" on a manuscript. Sadly, I won't be finishing BURNED tonight, but I am working on completing a major scene. And there's always a closet that needs cleaning...

Here's hoping the close of this year brings a sense of completion to you, and also an excitement for adventures to come!
