Oooh! Me reading!

Hi Guys!
Because BURNED is a finalist for the Children's Choice Book Award, the nice people at A Story Before Bed asked me to video myself reading Chapter 1 of the book. I did, and here's the link:

Okay, yes, I'm dorky. Yes, MY DOGS ARE REALLY LOUD. (Sorry about that. They only bark once.) Oh, and sorry about the plane, too. It's a beautiful evening in Tulsa and I have all of my windows open...

Enjoy!

Lol video is cool :D I don't think you need to worry about the dogs. It was funny to hear them barking. I was wondering. . . how long did it take you to get published? I'm writing my own book right now and I'm almost done with it. I just don't know which publishing house to go to. Should I go with the one close to me, or should I go everywhere and anywhere I can to get it published?

HoN Lover - the first thing you should do is educate yourself about the business of publishing. Start by reading my post in the archives on advice for aspiring authors, and then read the books I recommend. Do your homework. Being an author is a job, and just like any job you need to learn it. Good luck.

My first time going in the romance section! LOL I can not wait to get hooked in another one of your great books! Thanks for writing such wonderful things about amazing people and places.

Thanks for posting PC. How's the weather in Tulsa? Starting to cool off in OZ finally.

Hi Ang! The weather has been beautiful over here (though we do need rain). Big storms missed Tulsa yesterday. Spring in Oklahoma, minus tornadoes and pollen, is perfect!

Thank you for sharing the book in this way. I fell in love with the series when I downloaded the first book on my iphone. I had to continue reading and went straight to the book store and bought the rest of the series, I couldn't put them down. I am now awaiting the next book :) Can't wait!

Brenda - thank you so much for the invitation, but I'm under heavy deadline and can't add anything else to my schedule at this time.

P.C. why did you and Kristin cut Jack Twist out of the book?

Hayden said...

Do you know what DRAGON'S OATH will cost? It's gonna be a small hardcover, and I don't know their prices.

PC Cast said...

Zoey - I think the why's behind what happened to Jack are pretty clear if you read the book. And he wasn't cut out.

Hayden - I have no clue about pricing - that's a publisher thing. I imagine the price is already listed on the main bookstore sites, though.
