Well, Kristin was home for spring break last week (goddess help me). Okay, don't get me wrong. I adore my kid. She's great. She's fabulous. She's amazing. SHE'S A PAIN IN THE ASS. I considered using the cat's body to smother her. Hey, come on! The cat has been plotting her death for years! Okay, seriously, it was nice to see her and I do miss her. Most of the time. Whilst she was here we finally got our author photo for St. Martin's taken together. Here are the two we like best. What do y'all think? Which would be best for our YA novels?

You both look great!
I like the top one best, the bottom one is a little too innocent for a vampire series. IMO.
I like the top one best, too. Note I'm not strangling her.
I think the second one has more character. It makes me laugh. But the top one shows your eyes better, PC.
I like the top picture best.
I like the bottom one best. It shows humor and mischeviousness, for the both of you.
They are both very good.
But the bottom one is the one I would choose for you both. There is just something "mysterious" about it =)
Number one! Two of the prettiest ladies I ever did see. Love it!!
I vote for the first one!
I love both of the photos! They are adorable!
I considered using the cat's body to smother her. Hey, come on! The cat has been plotting her death for years!
Hehehe! Hilarious!
I like #1. You both look great!
Number one. It's a fabulous pic - you two are so pretty!
PC! Omigosh! The photos are gorgeous! She looks so much like you--you're both beautiful! I do have one question...how did springtime get to Oklahoma before Kaleefornia! &$%#!!!
Hey Sue Sweetie! Spring came to OK first because we've been having insane weather. Hot and dry. Clearly my photographer's neighbor (in whose yard we tramped about) has been watering heavily...
Jess - don't have a clue yet. They told me "winter." I'll let you guys know as soon as I know.
I like the top best.
The first one! I like how you are looking at the camera.
Keep the books coming - I'm in limbo.

Number 1. Though as the mom of a 14 yr old. I totally understand the sentiment of #2.
;)

Moonhart - 14...19...24...etc., I swear there's no difference. Same lovely girl - same pain in the ass. College is a wonderful thing.
I like the second one best...it's fun and playful.
