YALSA Top Ten Book for Teens Nominations!

Kristin and I are thrilled to have been nominated for the Young Adult Library Service Association's Top Ten Books for Teens list. We're honored to be included among so many amazing books. So now teens have 25 weeks to read the 25 books and then vote for their favorites. You can go to www.ala.org/teenstopten between October 18-24 and vote. The more teens who participate, the more accurately the winning list will reflect the reading tastes of teens all over the country! Which is really cool!

About the Teens' Top Ten

Teens' Top Ten is a "teen choice" list, where teens nominate and choose their favorite books of the previous year! Nominators are members of teen book groups in fifteen school and public libraries around the country. Nominations are posted in April during National Library Week, and teens across the country vote on their favorite titles each year during Teen Read Week. Readers aged twelve to eighteen can vote right here, online, anytime that week.

Check out: www.ala.org/teenstopten.

Happy reading, guys! There are some awesome books nominated!

Hey PC! I know I'm off topic here, but I just watched you and your daughter on Rachael Ray and thought you both did a wonderful job! I am so happy that you are finally getting the credit you deserve for writing such an amazing series! BRAVO! I also have a question, and you don't have to answer if it will give away too much. I am really fond of Aphrodite's character, I really like the way she has grown as a person and who she is becoming. I was wondering if Aphrodite will ever become a fledgling again, or if she is heading a whole new group; The humans who have been gifted by Nyx? You really have my mind churning! Great job!!!

Thank Jwise! We had fun appearing on the show.

Aphrodite is one of my favorite characters. Sorry, you're right - I can't answer you without giving plot secrets away, but I can tell you Aphrodite will always be a unique character and you'll get some of the book from her point of view in TEMPTED.

Hi, PC. This is totally off topic, and I apologize. However, I am a middle school Spanish teacher, and I started reading the series after my students told me how much they enjoyed it. Although I love the series as well, I am constantly shocked at how bad the Spanish is. I know that Zoey only uses it a bit, but can you PLEASE find someone who knows how to spell and speak the language to help you write it? Seriously, I would be willing to help out here! Thanks!!!

Hope, that's the point. Zoey says over and over that she sucks at Spanish. It's not supposed to be correct. The Hispanic kids in my class helped me "dumb down" Z's Spanish. It's purposeful. It's too easy to check and get right for it not to be.

Hi PC,

I had left a comment about the editing and proofreading of Chosen a week or so ago and I have not heard anything although you have responded to and posted other comments in the time since. I noticed quite a few typos and mistakes in the novel. I wanted to let you know so you can correct for future printings.

Reynolmi - if you read through some of the other posts you'll see that I've already addressed the errors. They've been corrected in later printings. You're beating a dead horse...
